"How is it possible for someone's car to relate to their physical body?" a skeptic asked.

"Is a car not made out of the same atoms you are?" Adano Ley replied with his own question.

The left front quadrant of a car relates to traumas with a male, and the right front quadrant to traumas with a female.

It reverses at the rear — female traumas are on the left, and male traumas are on the right.

Adano explained how our physical possessions often act as "shunts" to protect our physical body.

According to him, it was "more practical" to break something you own than your bones.

I was stoked on iridology after buying two Josef Deck textbooks of medical diagnosis at the Bodhi Tree in West Hollywood (where I had a part-time job in 1985).

I was frustrated because I couldn't find a suitable magnifying glass to look at irises after an entire day of driving from store to store.

I visited Jonathan Dune at his Westwood apartment, and vented my frustration.

"Relax," he cryptically advised. "Calm down, and it'll be delivered to your own driveway."

Unconvinced, I continued ranting and raving.

I was back home in Carpinteria several days later doing some gardening, when a friend of mine I hadn't seen in months pulled into my driveway.

"You've got good timing," I told Sarita Young. "I've been working in L.A., and I'm usually not home today."

(Four nights a week I slept on the floor of Dawn Sampson's apartment in Van Nuys.)

Sarita filled me in on her new job in the gift industry, and I joked, still obsessed with magnifying glass deprivation syndrome, "Well, if you ever run across a magnifying glass [among the gift items], I sure could use one."

She replied, "It's one of my gift items, and I've got one in the trunk that you can have for free."

True to Jonathan's prediction, the magnifying glass had been delivered to my own driveway!

I asked Adano Ley about the manifestation of my magnifying glass.

He said, "Is that a magnifying glass or is it ATOMS?"

Peter Tompkins & Christopher Bird (The Secret Life of Plants, 1973) wrote ...

"In 1899 [Jagadis Chandra] Bose noticed the strange fact that his metallic coherer for receiving radio waves became less sensitive if continuously used but returned to normal after a period of rest. This led him to the conclusion that metals, however inconceivably, might exhibit a recovery from fatigue similar to that which took place in tired animals and people. Further work began to convince Bose that the boundary line between so-called 'nonliving' metals and 'living' organisms was tenuous indeed."
