Adding to the list of flu remedies, I've beaten the flu (in minutes, not hours) by ...

1) Denying I had it. Someone thought it was ridiculous because of all the snot and nose-blowing, and their explosive laughter cured me on the spot.

2) 20 minutes of meditation with a zinc tablet on the end of my tongue (and a pint of pre-meditation carrot juice).

3) A Big Mac breakfast (after noticing my bright red tongue, a sign of extreme alkalinity).

4) Two quarts of coffee a day with loads of maple syrup, honey, and table sugar.

This was my most recent flu remedy, although it wasn't a complete cure, just a dramatic lessening of symptoms, allowing me to provide round-the-clock care for Vibrant Gal, who had a much worse case of the same flu.
