Sheldon Krimsky (The Fluoride Deception, by Christopher Bryson, Seven Stories Press, 2004, 374 pages, $24.95: Book Review, Chemical & Engineering News, Aug. 16, 2004) wrote ...

"'The Fluoride Deception' will leave any open-minded readers feeling uneasy about the acceptable levels of fluoride in drinking water, as well as the cumulative sources from dental hygiene products. But the deeper lessons of this story, going back to classified military research during World War II, are the book's insights into the threats to open inquiry in public health and environmental science. Premature closure of debate in science undercuts one of its unique features — a feature that distinguishes it from other forms of fixing belief — namely, science's self-correcting function. Without a scientific culture that supports reexamination of 'no risk' results, however strongly held, we may find our public health and environmental policies resting on weak or faulty foundations, which can prolong our blindness to preventable illnesses."

It's a higher choice to seek out second and third opinions because "experts" have wide ranges of ideas about when and how to take medications, mostly based on a false foundation of medicine tethered to membrane pumps, specific receptors, autoimmune antibodies, and one-way gene transmission.

Tests are often wrong, because the results vary on an hourly basis.

Health is, "How are you feeling?", or "How are you looking?", not, "What do your tests say?"

Do you feel ill? Do you look ill? Overweight? Underweight? What are you eating and when?

It's always something we're eating or thinking if we're feeling or looking sickly.

<>

Some things take time. It takes time to get sick and time to get well.

It took me from 1987 to 2011 to be able to read without eyeglasses.

And I'm just starting to get rid of my varicose veins now after eating "On Time" since 1975.

<>

Miracle "cures" have often been percolating for decades.

The good news is that instantaneous and almost-instantaneous miracle cures DO happen.

It's often hard to tell the difference.

<>

David Letterman was feeling great until he went for a test. They rushed him off to the hospital for major heart surgery.

He probably would have been better off with EECP (Enhanced External Counterpropulsion).

One of my friends nearly died from a Liver Flush, and eating nothing but white rice saved him.
