Re: So xylitol in kids' toothpaste is there to purposely cause problems?!

Some GMO products are relatively harmless and sometimes beneficial.

So why is Xylitol in toothpaste?

It's called making money by marketing to Sheep-Bots who never check out the downsides of the "latest thing."

As for some of the other things in kids' toothpaste, I'd label it as corporate child abuse.

I was a Sheep-Bot too — back when I believed the government and corporations were there to help me.

The 1960s disabused me of that notion.

Laura Nader coined the word "trustanoia," the complement to paranoia.

God helps he who helps himself ... and uses Yes-No-Maybe thinking.

Re: What about urine therapy? Or drinking it? Some folks swear by it

Drinking your children's urine creates more immunity, but there are some benefits to urophagia.

There are some downsides too.

What hurts your eyes when you swim in a chlorinated pool?

It's not the chlorine. It's mostly the nitrogen trichloride produced from people peeing in the pool.

There's about a gallon of pee in a public hot tub, and 13 gallons in a public swimming pool.

Re: How would one know if they have endotoxins? Symptoms?

Exotoxin's little brother, Endotoxin, gets all the New Age hype these days, but both can cause gut havoc.

70 million endotoxin tests are done every year — nice work if you can get it, considering their questionable reliability.

Just keep those doggies rolling three or more times a day, and you probably won't be bothered with either of these dastardly brothers.

Re: Do you eat the skin of grapes or spit it out?

There's more pycnogenol in the skin of grapes than in their seeds.

It hydrates grape skin as well as human skin.

Just chew them very well — grape skins contribute to bezoars, especially in folks with poor digestion or abdominal surgery.

It's rare, but a bezoar can cause a perforation in the digestive tract.
