Re: Psylium fiber kills endotoxin.

Beware of supplements you can't spell! :-D

Psyllium is a royal gut gummer-upper!

That's one of the first things I was warned about by Dr. Merrill Roy in "colonic school" in Mesa, Arizona.

Colonics won't help psyllium bezoars because most of these obstructions happen in the small intestine.

Also, regarding the "killing" of endotoxin, according to Dr. Google ...

"Bacteria do not need to be alive for endotoxin to be toxic. In fact, endotoxin in live bacteria is less toxic than when the bacteria are dead because endotoxin from dead cells is released, thereby increasing the apparent dose."

Loose stools are sometimes nothing but a "bad bug" on a "good food."

Processed foods are often the problem, so your best bet is using a process of eliminating one food at a time, starting with the most likely suspects.

Re: Any ideas how I can fix a very inflamed descending colon? I've tried all sorts of things and may have to do an antibiotic. It's so bad it keeps me awake all night. I may have an infection.

Infections can be dangerous, and should be taken seriously.

Sometimes antibiotics are necessary.

When my intestines get inflamed (it's rare, but "food poisoning" does happen), I usually eat bland, overcooked, dextrinized foods with extra sugar, and ride it out.

One time it took three months, but I wasn't into heavy sugar dosing back then.
