According to R. Crumb (2005) ...

"What we kids didn't understand was that we were living in a commercial, commodity culture. Everything in our environment had been bought and sold. As middle class Americans, we basically grew up on a movie set. The conscious values that are pushed are only part of the picture. The medium itself plays a much bigger part than anyone realizes: the creation of illusion. We are living surrounded by illusion, by professionally created fairy tales. We barely have contact with the real world."

Re: Is ghrelin more of a morning hormone and leptin an afternoon one?

Weirdly, it's the opposite, so the problem is either (1) these hormones are being measured in the wrong hierarchical location (very common!) or (2) the nature of these hormones is misunderstood (same goes for endorphins, oxytocin, serotonin, nitric oxide, estrogen, etc.).

Both leptin and ghrelin are associated with the ventromedial nuclei, Ground Zero for Solar Nutrition's food clock.

Doctors (there are exceptions!) speak with forked tongue.

Out of one side of their mouth they say things like, "Statins give you a 6% better chance of surviving a second heart attack. Those are impressive odds."

Out of the other side of their mouth they reluctantly admit, "Placebo is 33% effective."

So that means placebo is 27% more effective than statins?

According to Adano Ley (Swami Nitty-Gritty) ...

"The Initiate lives the life of the exception to the rule. He does not live a life of statistics."
