Re: Acid reflux (GERD) can be due to a weakened LES (lower esophageal sphincter) which is what I have.

It's not an actual sphincter. The shape of the stomach is a major factor.

Re: When I found out we don’t digest veggies too well as opposed to fruit, I try to blend mine up enough to still masticate with my mouth so it gets the proper enzymes from my mouth to my gut.

Enzymes do little. Stomach acid isn't designed to handle chunk-style vegetables.

Solid grapes don't digest at all.

Re: Interesting. I eat the grapes just not the peel.

Even the insides of a grape won't dissolve unless liquefied. It surprised the Father of Gastrointestinal Science (Dr. William Beaumont).

Re: So, 24 ounces of water causes alkalinity. I've long thought the whole "you need to be alkaline spiritual eating" narrative has been bollocks. No wonder so many people suffer from fungal issues.

Anabolism is an acidic and antioxidant process. Catabolism is an alkaline and oxidative process.

Acidity is the gas pedal and alkalinity is the brakes.
