According to John E. Sarno, M.D. ...

"Edward Shorter, a medical historian, concluded from his study of the medical literature that the incidence of a psychogenic disorder grows to epidemic proportions when the disorder is in vogue. Strange as it may seem, people with an unconscious psychological need for symptoms tend to develop a disorder that is well known, like back pain, hay fever, or eczema. This is not a conscious decision."

When I was a kid, an electric shock to Mr. Winkie cured me of bed-wetting.

Q — How was the shock administered?

A — The pad was supposed to set off an alarm to wake me up. It short-circuited and electrocuted my boonga, but like the villain in the 1990 Lou Diamond Phillip's neo-noir horror film, The First Power, it resurrected.

Q — Hmm, maybe parasites? I have heard something similar before.

A — The New Age is obsessed with parasites and pink UFOs.

More likely I was really "pissed off" as a child. That's often a cause of urinary bladder issues. It beats being "sick and tired" or "heartbroken."

I've seen Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) two times now. I usually despise movies with superhuman video-game stunts, but this one sucked me in. Guilty pleasures!

Dragged Across Concrete (2018) is more my kind of movie.

Mel Gibson has "character deficiencies" as a person (ask his baby mama, Oksana Grigorieva), but the dude sure is a first-class actor and director.

"It's just human nature, isn’t it? You're not going to invent something that’s going to put you out of work," is Roger Daltry's invalid statement about cancer.

His support of "assisted dying" is what Adano called a "Living to Die attitude," a mindset I'm sure Master Wu Dang Chen would call "pathetic."

The Medical-Industrial Police State loves "old fart" geldings like Daltry. He and his ilk illustrate that the Hippie Revolution was successfully annihilated by The Man and his Slave-Bots. Will the Phoenix ever arise from the ashes one day?

It's a bummer seeing all my old rock & roll heroes wearing neckties instead of paisley.

I've used mirrors as "solar warmers."

My fifth wife and I were cold in Bellingham, Washington, so I used a mirror to angle the sunlight into the window of our rented upstairs room. We basked in the sunshine while drinking our morning Cobalamin Tonics.

If we had lived there longer, I might have bought several dozen mirrors, so I wouldn't have to go outside every so often to calibrate the single mirror to the Sun.
