"Trauma is the reaction of a solid mass releasing its own internal processes to atmospheric pressure. The cell doesn't know how to de-shock itself. It keeps printing shock."

Q — How to de-shock?

A — Start by yawning and stretching. Free-form dancing helps too. By the time someone reaches sweet 16, they're prisoners of little more than a dozen basic movements.

Q — Qi gong and tai chi?

A — As taught by most teachers, it hurts more than helps. I've worked on my share of Yogis, Tai Chi instructors, ballroom dancers, and athletes, so I can say from personal experience.

James Burt (Aug. 24, 2021) — I lived next door to Adano for about three years in Houston. He had a double-apartment that shared a common wall with mine. He converted the huge outdoor patios we had into a large dining hall by roofing it over with fiberglass panels. I often partook of his daily Macrobiotic feasts.

I never partook of the colonic therapy or much of the spiritualism. I had no idea till almost 20 years later how important he was.

Atom (Aug. 25, 2021) — We might have met. I lived on the second floor above Adano while going to his Texas Institute of Reflex Sciences, and one of my roommates (when I lived in another apartment across the way) built the Banana Grove Restaurant in Adano's patio, where I ate hundreds of meals.

David Bodanis (The Secret Family: Twenty-Four Hours Inside the Mysterious World of Our Minds and Bodies, 1997) wrote ...

"... vitamins are actually tiny molecules, so the potions don't have to be big as what's handed out now. Yet who would believe in the power of tiny pills? They're bulked up accordingly, and almost all of their volume is made of entirely useless fillers: there's sand and chalk and talc and, to bind the whole thing really tightly, steamed extracts from pigs' feet and other animal bones. Each ounce of actual vitamins the family swallows over time brings with it far more of the fillers. When the pill finally lands in the stomach, the vitamin at its center has so many of these extras to push through that the vitamin only slowly dissolves loose. About half of the most popular vitamin pills stay in such large granules that they can't be digested at all, and simply move along the digestive tract unchanged. The other brands are only marginally better, for unless a family is suffering from a severe food shortage most of the vitamins are immediately sieved out, leading, as pharmacologists put it, to Americans having some of the most expensive urine on the planet."

According to the same source ...

"The surface of these pills is often more potent than the molecules inside. Angina patients given placebos colored yellow rarely show much improvement, but when the placebos are red they produce a strong effect: enough to change blood pressure for days. Vitamin pills are often soaked in red dye to match such psychological (or placebo) effects."

Hibernating bears practice Kundalini, the shivering of muscle groups surrounding their vital organs. Strongman Charles Atlas (1893-1972) called Kundalini Dynamic Tension.

Kundalini is activated by pandiculation, a full-body or body-part contraction combined with yawning.

Bears use massive shivering to maintain their temperature at a lowered set point.

You're hibernating when you drop your heart rate to at least 20 beats per minute. A hibernating black bear drops its heart rate down from 45-50 beats per minute to 8-10 beats per minute.

There are two delta brain wave states …

1) immobile delta mediation / Savikalpa Samadhi
2) mobile delta meditation / Nirvikalpa Samadhi

Clive Roots, Hibernation, 2006) wrote …

"The polar bear ranges south with the pack ice in winter, sometimes reaching Newfoundland, Iceland, and the Pribilof Islands in the northern Pacific Ocean south of Alaska. There are permanent populations in Hudson's Bay and James Bay, at the same latitude as northern England, where much of the time is spent on land in the summer and fall when the absence of sea ice makes seal hunting impossible. During this lean time their metabolism slows and they use less energy, surviving on their stored fat in what has been called 'walking hibernation'."
