My buddy, the Leather Tiger, ex-Marine George Adams, visited Swami Nitty-Gritty's Karma Clinic in Houston, Texas.

His legs were swollen with edema.

Swami Nitty-Gritty did some preliminary work on George in a recliner chair.

Then he instructed me to hold George’s feet.

He told me to push George’s toes in the direction of his head — foot dorsiflexion, like taking your foot off a gas pedal.

He told me to gently push George’s toes together — foot inversion, the opposite of Charlie Chaplin toes-out foot eversion.

He encouraged George to yawn and stretch.

George’s legs shrunk down to normal in five or ten minutes.

Blood pressure is measured in terms of hydraulics, but hydraulic pressure (liquid pressure) is subordinate to pneumatic pressure (gas pressure).

A DWV (drain-waste-vent) system uses a stack vent (stink pipe) to maintain neutral pressure in a plumbing system.

This DWV mechanism prevents high pressure in a drainage system — as it does in your human body.

There’s only two stink pipes to vent gas out of your body — your mouth and your anus.

According to Swami Nitty-Gritty ...

"The body could’ve come with a hinged toenail to let the pressure out, but a surgical de-clenching release valve is impractical because the blood would escape by gravity flow. It’s more practical to yawn and fart and burp."

Kriya Yoga includes fancy yawning — yawning with a Ph.D.

According to Swami Nitty-Gritty ...

"The kidney is a shunt for the heart."

The so-called "heart line" is an earlobe crease associated with heart trouble.

More corrected, it's a "kidney line" associated with the heart.

We have two ears and two kidneys, not two ears and two hearts.

Richard G. Lynch, M.D. ("Hypertension and the Kidney," ASIP Pathways, Aug. 2007) wrote ...

"[Richard] Bright [1789-1858] observed that large, heavy hearts found at autopsy, in the absence of other explanations, often occurred in patients with abnormal kidneys. He exhibited incredible insight by suggesting that a blood chemical of renal origin might be the cause of the enlarged hearts. He speculated that heart enlargement reflected an elevated cardiac workload due to increased peripheral resistance. Although he never measured a blood pressure, in view of what we know today about hypertension and the kidney, Bright was pretty much on target."

Collateral circulation can interfere with certain medical procedures.

According to "Correction of Male Impotence, Patent WO 1989000034 A1" ...

"Following ligation, impotent men can obtain erections in response to sexual stimulation due to the increase in erectile tissue blood pressure. However, in the majority of cases the cure is only temporary. The most likely cause of the recurrence of impotence is due to the development of collateral circulation."
